What is ASTS?

ASTS works with the Automobile Dealers Association of Indiana to recruit, select, and train qualified applicants. Within three days (and while still in training) you will be dispatched to area dealerships to interview. We pay particular attention to your goals in relation to the specific needs of our dealer clients. |
Why should I go through ASTS as opposed to interviewing directly at a dealership?

No two dealerships share the same philosophy on hiring or developing personnel. This is one reason why the general buying public has such mixed emotions about buying automobiles. ASTS works with dealer groups that develop their sales people – that see their employees as a part of the organization’s long term goals. After 35 hours of comprehensive consultative sales training our dealer clients know that they are receiving qualified and well prepared sales personnel – ready for dealer guided product training. |

ASTS placement retention is approximately three times that of the industry. Therefore, the likelihood of your success is significantly greater than doing it yourself. |
Is there a fee for this service?

A fee of $100 is collected to reimburse for materials, psychological testing, BMV reports, drug screening, and a limited criminal history report. Upon placement, a training fee of $395 is due, but only after accepting employment. Most dealers will reimburse the fee back to you after two to three months on the job. Still others pay the entire fee for you. So, in the vast majority of placements, the net fee is $100. |
