Sales Candidates
How the ASTS Process Works
|
Typically, you as a potential sales hire browse internet job posting sites such as “Career Builder, Monster.com” and others. Our job postings represent area dealers who demonstrate a high retention rate of their salespeople. We vary our job postings according to dealer demand and geographic location.
When you respond to an ad, we open and review your cover letter, resume and/or work history. To be clear – we’re seeking motivated, committed long-term focused candidates wanting careers and not just jobs. Your resume is the first step.
The Initial Interview |
 |
 |
You will be invited to a dealership as close as possible to your residence. We sometimes interview at dealerships in outlying areas such as Muncie, Bloomington, or Kokomo if we are targeting employment in a specific area. Otherwise, we typically interview on the Indianapolis north and south sides each week. Here’s what to expect:
The interview starts with a comprehensive review of your work history, noting income, career highlights, job responsibilities, etc. We’re particularly interested in learning about your future goals and objectives. Next, we’ll give you an overview of the automotive industry from a sales and career perspective. We cover issues such as training and development, compensation, responsibilities, accountability, benefits and in general what it takes to meet your financial and personal goals- no sugar coating, but a realistic look at what it takes to succeed. If there is a positive correlation to success you’ll know it.
Where there is mutual interest you’ll be invited to our training sessions at Indiana Wesleyan University. At that point we will GUARANTEE YOUR EMPLOYMENT in an organization that is equally committed to your success. Simple as that. No other competing organization will come close guaranteeing your employment. Want to Learn More?
